Gun control discussion aside; kid has been shooting her 10/22 for several years now. The next logical progression rifle for her was the M4. Yes, it is deemed a "tactical assault rifle", but the weight, recoil, and accuracy were the determining factors for the firearm. So now she is improving her target shooting skill with her M4. Do I feel like a bad mom for permitting this? No, but I am sure that there are plenty of people out there that would consider me to be a "bad parent".
